The GOST 3128-70 pin is a cylindrical or conical rod (GOST 3129-70), which must be inserted into the holes of the parts to be connected for connection. Pins allow you to accurately fix the relative position of the parts. It is possible to use a non-hardened pin on parts that experience light loads.

Pins can be installed and fastened, as well as cylindrical and conical in shape. The working part of the pins can be smooth or perforated (grooves are cut or extruded). This allows you to avoid reaming the hole and creates a more reliable connection that prevents the pin from falling out during operation.

A cylindrical pin holds parts due to friction or tension. All pins require manufacturing with great precision and high surface finish. Holes in the parts to be joined for such pins are drilled and deployed simultaneously, which requires temporarily fastening the parts together.

The non-hardened cylindrical pin GOST 3128-70 can also be used as an installation pin. For a more accurate relative position of the parts to be connected, it is necessary to increase the distance between the pins as much as possible.

Pins are typically made from carbon or stainless steel.

Example of a symbol:

Pin 10 x 60 GOST 3128-70

Types of pins according to GOST 3128-70

Dimensions for non-hardened pins

*Only for cylindrical pins.
**Only for conical pins (GOST 3129-70).

This standard provides d = 0.6 ... 50 mm and non-recommended dimensions.
