Soul power. Christian anthropology

The strength of the soul lies in its qualities. The soul is the part of a person that feels, loves, cares. I subconsciously gravitate toward people with developed spiritual qualities; usually it’s nice to visit such people, and I really want to talk to them when something is “sick.” A sincere person will listen, give advice, and just being next to him, it becomes easier, striving to support another is simply natural for such people.

The power of souls is that without their manifestations, it would be very difficult to live. You understand that a person with developed rational qualities can give advice, but no warmth will come from him.

But everyone has a soul, it just may be that it is closed and therefore a person does not manifest himself spiritually. In ideal condition we are all soulful :)

many people don’t even understand what the soul is... it’s not a cloud that flies out of the body... it’s what kind of person it is... they also say “a soulful person” is kind, not self-loving, etc. who doesn't give a damn about others... who rarely gets irritated and angry with others when there is even a reason... in a word, kind... and not just because he fed a kitten in the yard, but kind in everything and towards everyone...

I'll try to be correct:

The human brain is an interesting organ. all other organs are a way to exist, communicate, etc...

Scientists state that the most developed people in the world use up to 10% of the resource from the brain.

What is the remaining 90%? This is where the soul belongs.

For some it is in these 10%, for others in those 90 that are no longer used.

Now the answer to the question itself:

The power of the soul lies in its hidden capabilities. The soul is a different understanding of matter.

Incredible opportunities open up for people with bright thoughts.

A striking example was the Serb, citizen of the world, Nikola Tesla. Who carried out experiments in consciousness, and in reality embodied ideas, without errors, without side effects.

The capabilities of the soul depend on the strength of the soul of a particular person.

The soul is a kind of science that can be comprehended and studied.

The power is in its presence =)
After all, the soul is not something simply generalized.
This is our inner voice, consulting with our conscience and various external (acquired) human skills (for example, patience, hard work, tolerance, sense of justice and responsibility).

The highest degree, accordingly, is harmony. Harmony of soul and body.

Soul and consciousness are one and the same. Our limited brains and authoritarian upbringing limit the expression of our soul. People with the right upbringing get everything they want. This is the power of the soul - to create your own reality.

I don’t pretend to be the truth, but, in my opinion, half of them wrote nonsense. The soul should not be confused with feelings, emotions, and especially just human qualities. IMHO, the soul cannot have any power. Strength is the ability to do something, to do things. The soul cannot do anything. It forms part of a person, but is not some kind of contracting muscle that bends limbs. Sometimes, contrary to reason, we do illogical things - “at the call of our hearts.” The heart, feelings, emotions can be strong and can be the motivation for something. The soul does not “command” a person; it is too subtle for that. She just is. Or not.

The ability not to change yourself no matter what happens in life.

when lying down a person is 10-15% longer, but if you stretch it further, then after 10-15% of the body length the ligaments will begin to tear, but this is not yet fatal. respectively 20-30%

These are psychological techniques not related to hypnosis.

It’s like how you first copy your interlocutor, and then when you find “contact” with him, you begin to change and the person changes, adapting to you.

If it seems to you that a person is able to perceive your point of view, then why not argue... At least - an extra workout for the mind will not be superfluous, forgive the pun... In an argument, truth is born, as we know.
But with narrow-minded people, arguing will be a waste of time.

The teaching of the holy fathers about the tripartite, or three forces, soul

(Extracts from the Philokalia)

The soul is tripartite and is contemplated in three forces: thinking, irritable and desirable (St. Gregory Palamas).

We must give the three forces of the soul a correct movement, in accordance with their nature and in accordance with the intention of the God who created them. Namely: the irritable force must be moved against our external man and against the serpent Satan. “Be angry, it is said, and do not sin” (Ps. 4:5). This means: be angry at sin, that is, at yourself and at the Devil, so as not to sin against God. The desirable force must be directed towards God and virtue, and let us place the mental force as mistress over both of them, so that with wisdom and prudence it orders them, admonishes, punishes and rules over them, as a king rules over his subjects. And then the mind that exists in us according to God will govern them (that is, when it will dominate over them, and not obey them). Although passions rebel against reason, we do not cease to command that reason rule over them (St. Hesychius, Presbyter of Jerusalem On Sobriety and Prayer).

The rational soul acts in accordance with its nature, when the desirable part of it strives for virtue, the irritable part strives for it, and the thinking part is devoted to the contemplation of things.

The soul is tripartite, according to our wise teacher (St. Gregory of Nyssa). When virtue is in the mental part, then it is called prudence, sharpness and wisdom; when it happens in the desirable part, then it is called chastity, love and abstinence; when it happens in the irritable part, then it is called courage and patience. The point of prudence is to fight against forces that oppose us, to protect virtues and to drive away vices. The work of insight is everything that contributes to our goal, to arrange it properly, and the work of wisdom is to contemplate corporeal and incorporeal creatures in all respects. The business of chastity is to look dispassionately at things that usually arouse in us unreasonable dreams and desires; the work of love almost manifests itself in relation to every person bearing the image of God, as it does to the Prototype, even though the demons try to humiliate others before us; the work of abstinence is to joyfully reject everything that delights the larynx. It is a matter of patience and courage not to be afraid of enemies and willingly endure all sorts of troubles (Abba Evagrius Chapters on Active Life).

The Fathers said: “Contain the irritable part of the soul with love, the desirable part with abstinence, the rational part with prayer, and the light of the mind will never be darkened in you. There is a timely silence to curb anger; wishes for unreasonable food; uncontrollable thoughts, a prayer of one mind” (Callista and Ignatius Ksanfopulov, Instruction to the Silent).

All Divine commandments lay down laws for the threefold nature of the soul and make it healthy through what they command. Whoever strictly follows them, this tripartite becomes truly sound. But against this same tripartite soul the devil wages war day and night. If Satan wages war against tripartiteness, it is clear that through this he fights against the commandments of Christ, for Christ, through the commandments, imposes a law on the tripartiteness of the soul, that is, the irritable, willing and thinking powers of the soul. And look: the threat that “he who is angry with his brother in vain is guilty of judgment” (Matthew 5:22) and His subsequent commandments to heal the irritable part. The enemy is trying to subvert this commandment and the others laid down along with it internally through thoughts of covetousness (a tendency to quarrel with words, argumentativeness), rancor and envy. This opponent (ours and God’s) knows that the ruler of the irritable part is mental power. Why does it first shoot arrows at it through thoughts, suspicion, envy, bickering, quarrelsomeness, deceit, vanity and inclines the mental force to relinquish its inherent power and, giving the reins to irritation itself, leave it without any control. Then irritation, throwing away its ruler, without restraint wears out through the lips in words everything that was previously invested in the heart, that was previously hoarded in it through enemy thoughts, with the negligence of the mind. (Then a similar description of the battle in the wishful and mental part of the soul is made and in conclusion it is said): The well-controlled tripartite keeps the feelings from everything that is placeless. And then the mind, remaining in silence, with other forces controlled by God and in their obedience, conveniently gains the upper hand in mental warfare. When, through inattention, he allows other forces to become confused, then, being overcome by the excuses of the evil one, he transgresses the Divine commandments. The transgression of the commandments is followed in every possible way by either corresponding repentance or torment in the next century (St. Philotheus of Sinai, 40 chapters on sobriety).

The mysterious human Soul, how much is said about it, how much is written, but does everyone understand what it is?

The Human Soul is that bright ray of human consciousness that accompanies everyone in their life. The soul is an intermediate link between earthly consciousness and the true, Divine, immortal essence of man.

This is an energetic substance that accompanies everyone, from the moment of his birth to deep old age.

We take our problems too seriously. If we learn to laugh at them, life will become much easier.

A sense of humor is a gift from God that every person is endowed with. With age, people stop approaching life with ease and childlike spontaneity.

They begin to identify themselves with their problems, thereby moving away from God and depriving themselves of the opportunity to enjoy the reality of the spiritual.

The interaction of spirit and soul brings with it many opportunities for development. If we consider the spirit as a divine spark of Life, then the soul is a container of feelings, emotions, a continuation of the personality of the spirit. The soul is also a repository of unmanifested energy, which along the way is realized in the subtle bodies of a person and goes out into the world in the form of manifestations of feelings, actions, and creativity.

The soul is a magical casket of many aspects of power, however, “soul” as a term today has other connotations, so we will call it...

From this relationship, new Pure White Souls are born, which prepare for incarnation on earth in the Manifest World. Virgo Alive - Goddess Jiva, creates a matrix in the Pure Soul, i.e. figurative four hundred energy structure of the Russian human Soul. In the first hundred, the Goddess Jiva lays down wise knowledge about life on inhabited lands, about the dimensions of space, a set of feelings, a desire to create for the benefit of the race...

The soul is a ball of spirit that is formed inside the body. If in physics a person lives three-dimensionally, then the soul on the astral plane - a higher plane of development in relation to physics - lives four- or five-dimensionally, other laws apply there.

The principle of the astral plane is the condensation of matter within a formed space. The soul collects all the atoms and molecules that a person receives from the environment, connects them with each other, and thus feelings or emotions are born. This movement of particles is called mental life...

“The soul is that part of man which contemplates the inner self, sees the truth and perceives the spirit, and which eternally elevates man above the level of animals. Self-consciousness as such is not the soul. The characteristics of the soul are moral choice and spiritual attainment...

The soul represents the inner world, consciousness and self-awareness of a person. The soul is our mental phenomena and aspirations. The soul is something that is present in every living organism; some religions even identify soul and life.

Hence the belief that the soul can exist outside the body: when the body dies, the soul remains. In addition, in Russian there are a number of other meanings of the word “soul”. The soul is not even a high frequency, not the so-called subtle plane.

Frequency is inherent in energy, but the soul is not energy - it is an energy generator. This is what gives birth to everything. There are much greater riches within us than what we can find on Earth. There is the source of knowledge, where all knowledge originates. A love that is much stronger and more satisfying than that which exists in the outside world is waiting for us inside with open arms. Our core is the strength that makes it possible to overcome any fear. Despite the disunity of individuals, there is a close connection and unity of all life. There is bliss and joy waiting for us within, giving us such satisfaction that we no longer need any of the intoxicants that people use to be happy. All these gifts are within us - in the soul, the power of which is manifested.

The soul is the source of the greatest wisdom, love and power, but we know nothing of its treasures if we allow it to fall under the control of the mind, feelings and physical body. When the mind and body gain power over the soul, it forgets itself. But the soul, the power of which is manifested, is our true nature, and now is the time to exalt it so that we can take advantage of the gifts that will enrich our entire lives.

There are two ways to view yourself in terms of the existence of the soul. The first is that we view ourselves primarily as body and mind. If we see ourselves in this way, then we say that we are mind and body that have a soul. In the second case, we see ourselves as a soul. If we change the perspective and identify ourselves with the soul, we say that we are a soul with a mind and a body. Determining who we consider ourselves to be is one of the goals when manifesting the power of our soul through meditation. If we believe that we are mind and body, then we are on a journey in search of the soul. If we understand that we are a soul given a mind and body in order to maneuver in the physical world, then the goal is to continue to manifest the power of the soul. By exercising the power of the soul, we will restore its natural control over the mind and senses.

The purpose of exercising this power is to help oneself become reacquainted with the qualities of the soul and determine the direction of movement. The power of the soul is forgotten. The mind, feelings, body and the pull of the physical world have made her forget her strength and it needs to be awakened. When we manifest the power of the soul, its wisdom, immortality, love, fearlessness, its connectedness with everyone and everything, and bliss will give new dimensions to our lives.

Many people live and die without ever learning about the true power and potential of the soul, about God, and about the purpose of their existence.
The search for meaning and purpose, the spiritual search, is something that people undertake individually. Some seek answers in manuscripts, others in places of worship. Some people leave their religions and look for answers in others. No matter how a person acts, the direction he takes to find answers to life's questions is known as the spiritual path. It is the spiritual path that leads to the realization of the inner self, to the soul.

Many people go through life without understanding who they are or knowing anything about the purpose of their existence. In difficult times and in the face of death, they may ponder these questions, but do not follow through, or even stop caring about them once the difficult times pass. However, those who have a strong desire to uncover the mysteries of life can find answers to these questions.

Fortunately, there are people in this world who have completed their spiritual quest and they can guide us. Looking back at history, we will find that in every generation there lived people who knew themselves as souls, people who knew God. Some of their wisdom and experience is recorded and exists as part of history; in some cases, religions arose from their teachings. Other self-realized souls have come and gone, but nothing is known about them, since they did not become the founders of a religion and left no records behind them. We know some of them thanks to other people who have written about them. One thing is clear: these self-realized souls can teach us how to do this too. If we find such a person, we can learn how to know our soul and its properties. True knowledge comes when we see everything for ourselves, when we gain our own experience. We can read what others write or listen to what they say, but we cannot be completely satisfied until we have our own experience. This book touches on two aspects of spiritual knowledge that can help you understand your own soul: theoretical knowledge and personal or practical knowledge. The theoretical part consists of what other self-realized people said about the soul (for example, about its qualities - wisdom, immortality, fearlessness, love, connection with everything and everyone, and bliss). The personal or practical side is a technique I learned from a fully realized individual. I would like to talk about this technique in order to help others realize their souls on their own.

On the theoretical side, a comparative study of religions shows that they all say the same thing: we are not just a physical body, but also a soul, or spirit, within this body. It is the soul that gives us life. When the soul is in the body, we are physically alive. When the soul leaves the body at death, the body ceases to exist. The body disintegrates, but the soul residing in it is immortal. The soul continues to exist after physical death.

We know about our physical body because we see and feel it, hear the sounds it makes. But where is the soul, and what is it? How to find out about it? What are its characteristics and qualities? This book makes it possible to accomplish two tasks: to theoretically understand what the true “I” as a soul is, and to manifest its power to correctly direct your life.

From the very beginning we should define the terminology so that there is no confusion in the use of words. The term “soul” is used to denote our true essence, or spiritual side - that part of us that continues to live even after the death of the physical body. The soul exists whether it has a body and a mind or not. When she comes into this world, she is given a body and a mind. As humans, we are thus “souls given a body,” or souls with a body and a mind. The terms “we” and “us” refer to us as humans, or souls with bodies. The process of soul searching is “going within,” where we try to discover the soul within ourselves. When we finally find it and identify ourselves with it as our true essence, then the soul is said to be “its power manifested,” that it has come to know itself and knows that it is our true essence and the force guiding the body and mind .

Some of us may spend our lives seeking knowledge in the outside world. It is unlikely that we know that the answers to all questions, all the universal wisdom are within us. Universal wisdom is synonymous with the state of omniconsciousness. Some people notice that at times fear and anxiety, hopelessness and depression enter our lives; however, there is a source of fearlessness within us that can help us overcome all internal problems. We fear the death and departure of those we love; but we don't understand that we have eternity. We strive for love and look for it in many places, but inside of us there lives a love that does not depend on any conditions, and it is waiting for us with open arms. We feel lonely and disconnected in this world, but there is a place within where there is unity and connectedness, and if we reach this place, our relationships with others, with nature and with all life will greatly improve.

True joy is not as unattainable as we think. We can find lasting happiness if we look in the right place. Within us resides the limitless power and energy of the manifested soul. Her richest qualities include wisdom, fearlessness, immortality, unconditional love, connectedness and bliss. If we reach within and connect with the soul, gaining its power, it will enrich and change our entire lives.

We know nothing about these inner gifts because we are blocked and cannot connect to them. How can we get rid of what bothers us? What do we need to find what we are looking for?

There are simple techniques that help you achieve the riches of the soul. You don't have to search all over the world. No need to travel in outer space. We can practice them at home, with all the comforts.

As soon as we learn to connect to our inner resources, a significant transformation will occur to us, which will enrich all areas of life, personal relationships; improve physical, mental and emotional health, professional activity; will affect spiritual growth and help achieve the goal of life. This transformation will not only bring peace and joy into our lives, but will also make the whole world more harmonious, filling it with love.

The purpose of this book is to give us the means by which we can identify ourselves with the soul (that is, recognize that the mind and body are only the outer shells of the soul, with their help it lives and works in this physical world) and manifest it the strength to give the right direction to your life.

Preface

The spirit and soul are two completely different organs: the first belongs to God, while the other belongs to man. Whatever names you call them, they are completely different in essence.

F.B. Meyer once said in a congregation shortly before his death. Here is this passage: "It is a wonderful fact that there has never been so much spiritualism outside the church of Christ as there is today... Is it not a fact that in the lower part of our human nature the excitement of the soul is very predominant? At the present time the atmosphere is so charged with all kinds of counterfeits that God seems to be calling the church to a higher place."

1. The hidden power of the soul.

What is spirit? This is what makes us God conscious and connected with God. What is the soul? This is what is directly connected to us and gives us self-awareness. What is a body? It connects us with the world. Scofield, in his commentary on the Bible, explains that the spirit gives us the consciousness of God, the soul gives us self-consciousness, and the consciousness of the world gives us the body. The horse and the ox do not experience God because they do not have spirit. They only feel themselves. The body gives us awareness of the world, such as our observation of material objects, the sensation of hot or cold, etc. The above refers to the functions of spirit, soul and body.

In our investigation in this way we are not overly curious; we only want to know what God actually gave to Adam. “And God said: Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness...” (Gen. 1:26). The words "image" and "likeness" may seem similar in meaning and may therefore appear repetitive. But in the Hebrew the word "image" does not indicate physical resemblance, but signifies moral or spiritual resemblance. Someone explained this as: "transformation into likeness"; that is, "to be conformed to likeness." The purpose of God's creation of man is to transform man into His image. God wanted Adam to be like Him. The devil said: "You will be like God." But God's original intention was that Adam should be transformed to become like Him. From this we conclude that before the fall Adam had within himself the potential to become like God. He had a hidden ability that made it possible for him to become like God. He was already like Him in appearance, but he was destined by God to become like Him morally (I use the word “morally” to indicate that this is beyond the material, that is, it does not simply indicate good behavior of a person). Thus, we showed how much humanity lost through its fall. The extent of the damage probably exceeds our imagination.

Adam is a soul. His spirit and body are united in his soul. That wonderful power that we have just mentioned is present in the soul of Adam. In other words, the living soul, which is the result of the union of spirit and body, has incredible supernatural power. In the Fall, however, the power that distinguished Adam from us was lost. Yet this does not imply that there is no such power anymore; it only means that although this ability is still in the person, it is nevertheless “frozen” or suspended. According to Genesis 6, after the fall, man became flesh. The flesh enveloped the entire creature and enslaved it. Man was originally a living soul; now, having fallen, he becomes flesh. His soul was supposed to be subject to the control of the spirit; she is now subject to the power of the flesh. Consequently, the Lord said: “My Spirit will not always strive with man, for he is flesh” (Gen. 6:3). When God mentioned man here, He called him flesh, because in His eyes that is what he was now. Therefore, the Bible says that “all flesh has corrupted its way on the earth” (Gen. 6:12); and also “do not pour it on the flesh of man (meaning the holy anointing oil, which represents a type of the Holy Spirit)” (Ex. 30:32); and further, “by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in His sight” (Rom. 3:20).

Why am I celebrating this? Revelation 18 talks about how it will be in the last days. I indicated at the very beginning how the soul of man would become a commodity in Babylon, something that could be bought and sold. But why is a person's soul treated like a commodity? Because Satan and his puppet, the Antichrist, desire to use the human soul as an instrument for their actions at the end of this age. When Adam fell in the Garden of Eden, his strength left him. But he had not lost this power completely, it was only now buried inside him. He became flesh and his flesh now greatly constrained this amazing power within him. Generation followed generation, so that eventually this primordial ability of Adam became a “hidden” power in his descendants. It has become a kind of "hidden" force. She is not lost to man, she is simply bound by the flesh. Today, this Adamic power is hidden in every person who lives on earth, although it is contained in him and is not able to express itself freely. Yet such power is in the soul of every person, just as it was in the soul of Adam in the beginning. Since today's soul is under siege of the flesh, this force is also and spirit enclosed by flesh. The work of the devil at this time is to stir up the soul of man and release this hidden power from within as a counterfeit of spiritual power. The reason I mention this is to warn us about the special relationship between the soul of man and Satan in the last days.

This happens not only in Christianity. The Babylonians, Arabs, Buddhists, Taoists and Hindus have all tried in their own way to release the power that Adam left in our soul. In any religion, using different means or ways of teaching, a common principle is adhered to despite all obvious differences. This general principle consists in striving for external victory over the flesh in order to free the power of the soul from all types of bondage for its freer expression. Some of the instructional lessons given in these religions are aimed at breaking down the barrier of the body, some are aimed at unifying the body and soul, while some are aimed at strengthening the soul through teaching, and thus its ability to overcome the body. No matter what the paths are, the principle behind them is still the same. It is important to know this, otherwise we will be deceived. I do not know how people are informed about the amazing energy dormant in the human soul, the release of which, now bound by the flesh, will express itself in a manifestation of amazing power even with the achievement of the status of “fairy” or “Buddha”. They are probably all informed by the devil, the evil spirit. Their explanations may change, but the basic principle is the same, that is, the use of special means that release the power of the soul. They cannot and do not use the same terminology of soul power that we use; but still the fact is unmistakable. For example, in Buddhism and Taoism and even in some sects of Christianity, a special supernatural power is available to everyone to perform miracles in healing diseases and predicting the future.

Take the case of ascetic methods and breathing in Taoism, or even the simplest form of abstract meditation: they are all built according to the same principle of enslaving the body to the soul in order to liberate the power of the latter. No wonder many miracles happen that we cannot simply dismiss as superstition. Buddhism was originally atheistic. Gautama Sidhartha was an atheist. Many scholars and critics of the teachings of Buddhism agreed on this. He believed in transmigration of the soul and also in nirvana. I have no intention of giving lectures on Buddhism; I only want to show why and how many miracles there were in this religion. Buddhism has a teaching about avoiding the world. Those who take the Buddhist vow must abstain from marriage and meat. They must not kill any animals. Through ascetic methods they can eventually achieve the elimination of all food. Some high-ranking monks can even penetrate the unknown past and predict the future. They do many miracles with Buddhist magic. When what they call their "heart blood" flows, they are able to predict the future. The attraction of all these different modes of abstinence and ascetic methods flows from one single governing principle: the Buddhist tries to break all physical and material fetters in order to release his soul power. I know some people, my peers, who joined the Unity Club. Their practice and that of their fellow club members is meditation, etc. They tell me that each degree they enter has its own amount of light. The light they feel follows the truth they perceive. I believe what they say because they are able to be free from the dictates of the body and thus release the power that Adam had before the fall. There is really nothing extraordinary about this.

The modern Church of Christ of Science, founded by Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy, denies the existence of disease, pain, sin, and death (although Mrs. Eddy has already died). Since according to her teaching there is nothing such as illness, whenever someone falls ill, he only needs to apply his mind against any recognition of pain and he will be healed. This means that if a person does not believe in illness, then he will not get sick. Also, if he does not believe in sin, he will not sin. By training man's will, reason, and emotions to the point of absolutely denying the existence of these things, regarding them as false and misleading, he will find them truly non-existent. When this teaching was proclaimed, many opposed it. Doctors especially opposed it, because if it were true, there would be no need for doctors. Yet after their examination of those healed by Christian Science, these doctors were unable to declare it false. Consequently, more and more people believe it; and even many famous scientists and doctors are covered by this teaching. This is not at all surprising, however, since there is a reservoir of enormous power in the soul just waiting to be released from the bonds of the flesh.

Let's now look at this from a scientific point of view. The field of psychology has undertaken unprecedented research in this century. What is psychology? The word itself is a combination of two Greek words: " psyche ", which means soul and "logia", which means to speak. Therefore psychology is the "science of the soul." The research in which modern scientists are engaged is only research into the soul part of our being. It is limited to this part, the spirit is not concerned. Modern parapsychology began with Franz Anton Mesmer. His first discovery, made in 1778, is now known as hypnosis (hypnosis was practiced by Mesmer himself). His students surpassed him with their own discoveries, just as the color green, which is extracted from blue, is superior to blue. Some of their experiments are almost incredible in results. Their method, not coincidentally, is to free from bondage that hidden power in the human soul. For example, clairvoyance (the power to see beyond the natural range of human senses) or telepathy (communication by scientifically unknown or inexplicable means , such as the use of mystical power), people are able to see or hear or smell things that are thousands of miles away from them. It is said that hypnosis "is the rock from which all rational sciences were hewn."

Before Mesmer, psychical research was not an independent branch of science; it occupied only an insignificant place in natural science. But because of these amazing discoveries, it became a separate system. I wish to call your attention not to the study of psychology, but to the fact that all these wonderful phenomena are obtained through the release of the hidden power of the soul of man, a faculty that has been latent in man since the fall. Why is it called "hidden" power? Because after Adam's fall, God did not take away from him this "supernatural" power that he once possessed. Instead, this power fell with him and became trapped in his body. The power was in him; only it was unexpressed. That's why it's a hidden power. The phenomena of our human life such as speech and thinking are abilities that are quite remarkable; but the hidden power that lies hidden in man is also amazing. And if this power were activated, then many more wonderful phenomena would manifest themselves in our lives. Many of the amazing cases that modern parapsychologists discover are in no way related to their supernatural nature. They simply prove that the latent power of the soul can be released by appropriate means.

A list of some of the "discoveries" which were made by Mesmer about the elementary knowledge of the mysterious forces hidden in the human frame shows how wonderfully this movement has advanced and one day man has found the key. In 1784, a student of Mesmer discovered "clairvoyance" as a result of hypnotic sleep and accidentally came to "mind reading."

Telepathy, being communication between mind and mind by means other than the known channels of the senses, allows a person to use his own psychic power to ascertain the thought of another without speaking a word. Hypnosis, neuroscience and psychometry... and countless other discoveries followed over the years. Now hypnosis is an artificially induced sleep-like state in which the individual is extremely receptive to the hypnotist's suggestions. Not only man, but even lower animals can also be hypnotized. And psychometry is the discovery that the mind can operate outside the human body and that the "psychometrically sensitive" can read the past as if it were an open book. Then there was the discovery called statuevolism, showing a specific state produced by desire in which the subject can "throw his mind" to any distant place, look, listen, feel, smell and taste what happens there. Then came a discovery called "pathetism". Thus the mind can withdraw from the consciousness of pain and heal diseases. In the beginning, scientists only considered these "discoveries" as branches of natural science, but due to the multiplication of these amazing phenomena, parapsychology soon became a separate science. For those who practice this science, many amazing phenomena are very natural. For us believers they are even more natural, since we know that they are simply the consequences of the release of the hidden power of the soul. Physiologists declare that there is an enormous power within a person: the power of self-control, the creative power, the restorative power, the power of faith, the power of revival, the power of returning to life. All of them can be released by people. One psychology book even goes much further, declaring that all humans are gods, only that this god is imprisoned within us. By releasing the god from within, we all become gods. How similar these words are to the words of Satan in Eden!

We, taught by God, know that this ability is the hidden power of the soul of man, which is now bound in the flesh through the fall of Adam. This power fell with man so that, by the will of God, it could not be used in the future. But Satan's will is to develop this hidden ability to make man feel that he is as rich as God, just as Satan promised. Thus, a person begins to worship himself, although indirectly this is worship of Satan. Therefore, Satan is behind all this parapsychology research. He uses his best to extract the hidden energy of the soul to fulfill his purpose. For this reason, everyone who develops their soul power cannot avoid being contacted and used by the evil spirit.

These amazing phenomena in religion and science are just a manifestation of the hidden power of man, which in turn is used by the evil spirit. They all follow one general rule: break through the barriers of the flesh and release the power of the soul. The difference between us (Christians) and them lies in the fact that all our miracles are performed by God through the Holy Spirit. Satan uses the power of man's soul to manifest his power. The power of the human soul is Satan's working tool through which he carries out his evil plan. God never acts through the power of a person’s soul, since it is unsuitable for Him. When we are born again, we are born again of the Holy Spirit. God works through the Holy Spirit and our renewed spirit. He has no desire to use soul power. Since the fall, God has forbidden man to use his original soul power again. For this reason, God, Jesus often states how we must lose our soul life, that is, our soul power. God wants us not to use this soul power at all today.

We cannot say that all the miracles in the world are false; we must confirm that many of them are real. But all these phenomena were produced by the hidden power of the soul after the fall of Adam. As Christians we must be very careful in these end times not to trigger the hidden energy of the soul, intentionally or unwittingly. Let us return again to the Holy Scriptures at the beginning. We see that at the end of the ages the specific work that Satan and the evil spirits under him will do is to trade in the power of man's soul. The goal is simply to fill this world with the hidden power of the soul. One correspondent for Pobeditel magazine made the following comparison: “the forces psyche (soul) are arrayed against the forces of pneuma (spirit)." All who have spiritual insight and sensitivity know the reality of this statement. The force of the soul rushes after us like a stream. Using science (psychology and parapsychology), religion, and even the ignorant church (in in her search for excessive supernatural manifestations and in her failure to control supernatural gifts according to the guidance of the Bible), Satan fills this world with the power of darkness. This is just the last and final preparation of Satan for the appearance of the Antichrist. Those who are truly spiritual (who reject the power of the soul) feel like everything the opposition of evil spirits is accelerating around them. The whole atmosphere is so dark that it is difficult for them to advance. However, this is also God's preparation for the triumph of the victors.

We must understand what soul power is and what this soul power can do. Let me say that before the Lord returns, things like these will greatly increase, perhaps even more than hundreds of times. Satan will do many amazing things by using this soul power to deceive God's chosen ones. We are drawing closer to the time of the great retreat. “Time flies quickly,” said Mrs. Penn-Lewis. "The hand of the archenemy of God and man is on the steering wheel, and the world is rushing toward a dark hour when, for a short time, Satan will become virtually the "god of this age," ruling the world through supermen whose appearance cannot be delayed."

What is soul power? Coming to the Holy Scriptures and under the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, believers must understand that this power is so destructive that it will spread throughout all nations on earth and turn the entire world into chaos. Satan is now using this soul power to substitute it for the gospel of God and its power. He is trying to blind men's hearts through the miracles of soul power so that they will accept a bloodless religion. He also uses the discoveries of psychic science to cast doubt on the value of supernatural occurrences in Christianity, causing people to regard the latter as analogous, and as nothing more than the hidden power of the soul. He seeks to replace Christ's salvation with psychic power. The modern attempt to replace evil habits and bad character with hypnosis is a precursor to this goal.

“The power of the soul versus the power of the Spirit is the battlefield today. The Body of Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit within itself, strives upward. The atmosphere of the world has become fat with psychic currents, behind which air opponents are concentrated. The only security for the child of God is the experienced knowledge of life in union with Christ, in which he lives in God above the poisonous air in which the prince of the power of the air continues his work.

My hope today is to help you know the source and workings of the hidden soul power. May God instruct us with the fact that where there is soul power, there also is an evil spirit. We must not use the power that comes from us, we must use the power that comes from the Holy Spirit. Let us especially deny the hidden power of the soul, so as not to fall into the hand of Satan. For the power of the soul, through the sin of Adam, had already fallen under the power of Satan and became his working tool. Therefore, we must have great caution against Satan's deception.
